"Inspired that I CAN do this!"

One reason that we believe in the Becoming a CoJourner evangelism training workshop is the number of everyday believers who say things like, “I’m inspired that I CAN do this!” after a few hours of practical theology and equipping!

Recently 240 members of a congregation in Memphis were trained in using tools to begin spiritual conversations, like Soularium (pictured below). They were challenged to spend the next two weeks reaching out in their community by praying for, caring for, and sharing with their friends, neighbors, and coworkers.

At the 2-week check-in, an amazing 117 returned to celebrate stories of God at work!

Together, they are discovering the joy of seeing lives changed as their church develops a culture of normalizing evangelism!

2023 marked our family in many ways.

Here are four significant moments that we will remember when we look back to this year.

Moment #1

The sudden death of Gabor’s mother at the beginning of 2023 was a hard moment. Gabor has not seen his mother for 9 months and was not able to fly back in time to say good-bye. We are grateful for her heroic life and child-like faith in Christ!

Moment #2

Our youngest son, Gergo decided to continue his studies in our home country, Hungary. Now, all of our kids live in another continent. This separation is challenging, but we are grateful that our kids are embracing the cost of our mission.

Moment #3

God raised up an incredible team of missionaries working with us in Church Movements. We’ve seen huge growth as now 113 staff are serving with us in 67 cities across the U.S.A. Seeing their faith, commitment, love and creativity is affirming.

Moment #4

Equipping and mobilization. We’ve seen our evangelism and church-multiplication trainings (Sent 6:7) reaching thousands of believers. We’ve seen God opening doors, mobilizing believers, building partnerships and multiplying the church.

“Was it Worth it?”

A former disciple of Gabor this summer asked us this: “was it worth it to leave behind your family, moving to another country and doing this ministry?” Jesus is everything worth having. Following Him worths any cost! In the past 32 years since we are in full-time ministry we always marvel at how God sustained us—physically, emotionally, mentally, relationally and financially. Every year was a miracle.
